After seeing John Bishop on TV other night I remembered shooting a buiness award gig in Liverpool in 2008 when he was unknown, just before he hit the big time. Anyway dug these out of the archives to share with you. He took the piss out of me while I snapped him from the front, I think it was along the lines of looking like a big issue seller that had done well and bought a camera (actually that was quite funny). I have long hair and was unshaven that night – so I was an easy target! (but of course all homeless people look like this?!)
Although he’s not really my cup of tea, we do need more scouse comedians, as I can’t recall much since Alexis Sayle. Or would Paul O’Grady/Lilley Savage count? Or Peter Serafinowicz ? Anyway, good luck to him. K x
