It was the first time we’d been to Hoghton Tower www.hoghtontower.co.uk when we shot Liz and Gavin’s wedding recently and on our first approach the we were blown away by the length driveway. It must have been about a mile long. Apparently it’s been used in loads of films and tv such as Dr Who and Moll Flanders. Over the last couple of years we’d already shot two weddings for Liz’s siblings, and they’d established a pattern of choosing really spectacular castles. So we were over the moon when Liz approached us to shoot hers at Hoghton Tower. The weather wasn’t great, but they were pretty much up for trying anything as the location had so much to offer, but typically of us we didn’t go for the obvious type of images.
