The wonderful Beatles themed Hard Days Night Hotel in Castle Street was the backdrop for today’s wedding time hop with the bride in a stunning Sottero and Midgley dress. I just love all the Beatles memorabilia and the ambience of this city-centre wedding venue, and I’m so lucky to be a recommended supplier.
James surprised Anastasia on Christmas Day 2015 with a “Save the Date” for their black-tie wedding. They booked the Hard Days Night Hotel for their reception where Anastasia rocked the twenties vibed in her Sottero and Midgley dress. The one request Anastasia had always had since a little girl was that she got married in St. Paul’s church where she was christened. To her astonishment, James had remembered this special request and had booked the church too! Sealing the deal for the marriage on the 29th October 2016. Well done, James!
Sottero and Midgley Dress
Nevertheless, with only ten months to plan the wedding she started with the most important job: to find “The Dress”! She used a local West Derby boutique Brides by Natalie. She chose one of the stunning gowns from the fabulous range of Sottero and Midgley wedding dresses. As you can see, it’s a gorgeous heavily beaded hand-sewn dress with impeccable detail. Anastasia’s mum made her veil and her shoes were Betsy Johnson all the way from New York City. The flowers were arranged by Anastasia’s cousin Jennifer Byrne who even managed to get a royal blue rose for mad Evertonian James.
“At our pre-wedding meeting, we asked Kenny to capture the day as it happened. We wanted our photographs as natural as possible. When we received them we were truly amazed at just how natural they looked. Four years on, we love looking through the photographs of our wonderful day. Captured exactly as it’s happened.” – Anastasia & James
What made our day special
“Our wedding day was simply perfect with the four bridesmaids fulfilling all of their duties and more and James’ 3 Best Men and 7 Groomsmen ensuring the day ran smoothly. The two beautiful flower girls Ayda & Ava stealing the show looking like true princesses. The day was shared with close family and friends, who enjoyed an acoustic set by James’ childhood friend and The Voice star Lester Preston and a disco in the evening.”
